  Details Jacksonstone Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a construction and fit out business in South Dublin for a Health & Safety Adviser. 
Principal Duties and Responsibilities 
 Adherence to the project & Group Safety Management system  
ï‚·Adherence to relevant Environmental, Health & Safety statutory provisions & legislation 
ï‚·Adherence to Group & PSCS Environmental, Health & Safety Plans. 
ï‚·Coordination in the development of task specific Method statements, risk assessments, safe plan of action, permit to work. 
ï‚·Compliance with the project safety statement.  
ï‚·Coordination of project safety indicators. 
ï‚·Good Safety Practices are managed & maintained. 
ï‚·Ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments, control of hazardous substances. 
ï‚·Safety interventions are completed & registered. 
ï‚·Carry out regular site audits and inspection, document results and follow up on any corrective actions. 
ï‚·Records of statutory inspections are available for project activities, tool and plant.  
ï‚·Adopt a Proactive approach to project EHS requirements.  
ï‚·Ability to work either independently or as part of a team. 
ï‚·Provide Safety input to site management & at site EHS forums. 
ï‚·Ensure project sub-contractor adhere to project EHS policies & procedures. 
ï‚·The Group site induction & training is coordinated, managed & maintained.  
ï‚·Project PPE is resourced & available.  
ï‚·Compile & carry out Toolbox talks, as necessary  
ï‚·Assist or carry out accident investigation reports in a timely manner & ensure communication to the Group project management.  
ï‚·Welfare & Hygiene facilities are in place, managed & maintained. 
ï‚·Liaison with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues. 
ï‚·Up to date documentation is included with the Safety File. 
ï‚·Waste reduction and recycling programmes are maintained in line with project policies & procedures. 

 
Selection Criteria / Person Specification: 
Essential 
ï‚·Relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety  
ï‚·2+ years’ experience of managing environmental, health and safety on large construction sites.   
ï‚·Flexibility in working patterns where necessary. 
ï‚·Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.  
ï‚·Strong communication & computer skills,  
ï‚·Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.  
ï‚·NEBOSH certificate level qualification  
Desirable
ï‚·Close attention to detail 
ï‚·Good team-working skills
